Educational Q&A

The verse underscores steadfast affection and inner fidelity: even when nature offers comfort and calm, a virtuous person’s mind remains anchored in loyal remembrance of the beloved, reflecting constancy and emotional discipline amid separation.

Mārkaṇḍeya describes Rāma in the forest experiencing a soothing, cool, nectar-scented breeze; touched by this gentle comfort, Rāma’s thoughts turn inward and he begins to contemplate his beloved Sītā.
