वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुकक््त्वा महाबाहु: कौरवं पुरुषोत्तम: । आमन्त्रय प्रययौ श्रीमान् पाण्डवान् मधुसूदन:,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! ऐसा कहकर पुरुषोंमें श्रेष्ठ महाबाहु श्रीमान् मधुसूदन कुरुनन्दन युधिष्ठिरकी आज्ञा लेकर द्वारकाकी ओर चले
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktvā mahābāhuḥ Kauravaṃ puruṣottamaḥ | āmantrya prayayau śrīmān Pāṇḍavān Madhusūdanaḥ ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—ஜனமேஜயா! இவ்வாறு சொல்லி, மனிதர்களில் சிறந்தவனும் வலிய கரங்களையுடையவனுமான புகழ்மிக்க மதுசூதனன் பாண்டவர்களிடம் விடைபெற்று, கௌரவநந்தனன் (யுதிஷ்டிரன்) அனுமதி பெற்றுத் த்வாரகாவை நோக்கிப் புறப்பட்டான்.
