दातारं हानुगच्छन्ति सर्वे कामाभिवाज्छिता: । जो दिद्वान् ब्राह्मणको भूमिदान करता है, उस दाताके पास सभी मनोवाजञ्छित भोग स्वतः आ जाते हैं
dātāraṃ hānugacchanti sarve kāmābhivāñchitāḥ | yo vidvān brāhmaṇako bhūmidāna kartā hai, us dātāke pāsa sabhī manovāñchita bhoga svataḥ ā jāte haiṃ |
மார்க்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்—தானதாரனைத் தொடர்ந்து எல்லா விரும்பிய இன்பங்களும் வருகின்றன. அறிவுடையவன் பிராமணருக்கு நிலதானம் அளித்தால், அவன் விரும்பிய எல்லா போகங்களும் செல்வமும் தாமே வந்து சேரும்।
