अध्याय ८ — शल्यस्य सत्कारः, वरदानं, पाण्डवसमागमश्च (Śalya’s Reception, the Boon, and Meeting the Pāṇḍavas)
दिष्ट्या पश्यामि राजेन्द्र धर्मात्मानं सहानुगम् । निस्तीर्ण दुष्करं राजंस्त्वां धर्मनिचयं प्रभो
diṣṭyā paśyāmi rājendra dharmātmānaṃ sahānugam | nistīrṇaṃ duṣkaraṃ rājan tvāṃ dharmanidhayaṃ prabho ||
நல்ல பாக்கியத்தால், ஓ ராஜேந்திரா, உம்மை தர்மாத்மாவாகவும், உம்முடன் வந்தவர்களோடும் நான் காண்கிறேன். ஓ அரசே, ஓ பிரபுவே! கடக்க அரிதானதை நீர் கடந்து வந்தீர்; நீர் தர்மத்தின் நிதி. சகோதரர்களுடன் அந்தக் கடின விரதத்தை நிறைவேற்றிய பின் இப்போது உம்மைக் காணுதல்—எனக்கு பெரும் பாக்கியம்.
