धृतराष्ट्रस्य बलाबलचिन्ता
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Appraisal of Strength and Preference for Śama
इत्येवं चिन्तयत् कृत्स्नमहोरात्राणि भारत । अनिद्रो नि:ःसुखश्नास्मि कुरूणां शमचिन्तया
ity evaṁ cintayat kṛtsnam ahorātrāṇi bhārata | anidro niḥsukhaś cāsmi kurūṇāṁ śamacin tayā ||
வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—ஓ பாரதா! இவ்வாறு முழு பகலும் இரவும் சிந்தித்துக் கொண்டே இருப்பதால் எனக்கு உறக்கம் வரவில்லை; குருக்களிடையே எவ்வாறு சமாதானம் நிலைக்கும் என்ற கவலை என் எல்லாச் சுகத்தையும் பறித்துவிட்டது।
