Drupada’s Alarm and Inquiry Regarding Śikhaṇḍinī (द्रुपदस्य भय-विमर्शः)
स्त्रीलिड्रं धारयिष्यामि तदेवं पार्थिवात्मजे । सत्यं मे प्रतिजानीहि करिष्यामि प्रियं तव
strīliṅgaṃ dhārayiṣyāmi tadevaṃ pārthivātmaje | satyaṃ me pratijānīhi kariṣyāmi priyaṃ tava ||
அரசகுமாரியே! இவ்விதமாக நான் உன் பெண்மையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வேன். ஆனால் உண்மையாய் உறுதி கூறு—காரியம் நிறைவேறிய பின் என் ஆண்மையை எனக்குத் திருப்பித் தருவாய் என்று; அப்பொழுது உனக்கு இனிய காரியத்தை நான் செய்வேன்.
