मुचुकुन्दस्य राजर्षेरददात् पृथिवीमिमाम् | पुरा वैश्रवण: प्रीतो न चासौ तां गृहीतवान्
mucukundasya rājarṣer adadāt pṛthivīm imām | purā vaiśravaṇaḥ prīto na cāsau tāṁ gṛhītavān |
முன்னொரு காலத்தில் செல்வத்தின் அதிபதி வைஶ்ரவணன் (குபேரன்) அரசரிஷி முசுகுந்தனிடம் மகிழ்ந்து இந்த முழு பூமியையும் அளிக்க முனைந்தான்; ஆனால் முசுகுந்தன் அதை ஏற்கவில்லை.
