ग्रामं ग्रामशताध्यक्षो भोक्तुमरहति सत्कृत: । महान्तं भरतश्रेष्ठ सुस्फीतं जनसंकुलम्
grāmaṁ grāmaśatādhyakṣo bhoktum arhati satkṛtaḥ | mahāntaṁ bharataśreṣṭha susphītaṁ janasaṅkulam ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—பரதகுலச் சிறந்தவனே! நூறு கிராமங்களின் மேற்பார்வையாளர் மரியாதையுடன் வரவேற்கப்பட்டு பராமரிக்கப்படத் தகுதியுடையவன். அவனுக்குப் பயன்பாட்டிற்காக ஒரு பெரிய கிராமம் அளிக்கப்பட வேண்டும்—செழிப்பும் வளமும் நிறைந்தது, மக்களால் நிரம்பியது.
