Indra–Māndhātṛ Dialogue
नष्टा धर्मा: शतधा शाशभ्षृतास्ते क्षात्रेण धर्मेण पुन: प्रवृद्धा: । युगे युगे ह्यादिधर्मा: प्रवृत्ता लोकज्येष्ठं क्षात्रधर्म वदन्ति,वे सदासे चले आनेवाले धर्म सैकड़ों बार नष्ट हो चुके हैं, परंतु क्षात्रधर्मने उनका पुनः उद्धार एवं प्रसार किया है। युग-युगमें आदिधर्म (क्षात्रधर्म)-की प्रवृत्ति हुई है; इसलिये इस क्षात्रधर्मको लोकमें सबसे श्रेष्ठ बताते हैं
naṣṭā dharmāḥ śatadhā śāśabhṛtās te kṣātreṇa dharmeṇa punaḥ pravṛddhāḥ | yuge yuge hy ādi-dharmāḥ pravṛttā lokajyeṣṭhaṃ kṣātra-dharmaṃ vadanti ||
இந்திரன் கூறினான்—தர்மம் நூற்றுமுறை அழிந்து சிதறிய துண்டுகளாய் ஓடியிருக்கிறது; ஆனால் க்ஷாத்திர தர்மம் அதை மீண்டும் உயர்த்தி நிலைநாட்டி வளர்த்தது. யுகம் யுகமாக ஆதிதர்மம் மீண்டும் இயக்கம் பெறுகிறது; ஆகவே உலகம் க்ஷாத்திர தர்மத்தையே முதன்மை எனக் கூறுகிறது।
