न चाददीत वित्तानि सतां हस्तात् कदाचन । असदभ्यश्न॒ समादद्यात् सद्भधयस्तु प्रतिपादयेत्
na cādadīta vittāni satāṁ hastāt kadācana | asadbhyaś ca samādad yāt sadbhyaḥ tu pratipādayet ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—நல்லோரின் கையிலிருந்து ஒருபோதும் செல்வத்தைப் பறிக்கக் கூடாது. தீயோரிடமிருந்து தண்டமாகச் செல்வத்தைப் பெறலாம்; ஆனால் நல்லோருக்கு மாறாக வழங்க வேண்டும்—அவர்களை ஆதரிக்க வேண்டும், துன்புறுத்தக் கூடாது.
