शेषान्नभोक्ता वचनानुकूलो हितार्जवोत्कृष्टकृताकृतज्ञ: | अवैरकृद्‌ भूतहिते नियुक्तो गड़ाह्दाम्भोडभिजनोपपन्न:

Transliteration

śeṣānna-bhoktā vacanānukūlo hitārjavotkṛṣṭa-kṛtākṛta-jñaḥ | avaira-kṛd bhūta-hite niyukto gaṅgā-dāmbho(d)bhijano-upapannaḥ ||

Translation

பிராமணன் கூறினான்— அவன் யாகத்தின் மீதமுள்ள அன்னத்தையே உண்ணுகிறான்; இனிய, ஏற்ற சொற்களையே பேசுகிறான்; நன்மையும் நேர்மையும் நிறைந்த வழியில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறான். செய்யவேண்டியது, செய்யக்கூடாதது—இரண்டையும் தெளிவாக அறிந்தவன். அவன் யாரிடமும் பகை கொள்ளான்; எல்லா உயிர்களின் நலனில் ஈடுபட்டிருப்பான்; கங்கைநீரைப் போலத் தூய்மையும் மாசற்றதுமான குலத்தில் பிறந்தவன்.
