अहिंस्न: शुचिरक्षुद्रो निराशी: कर्मसंस्तुत: । आरण्यकपदोदभूता भागास्तत्रोपकल्पिता:
ahiṃsnaḥ śucir akṣudro nirāśīḥ karmasaṃstutaḥ | āraṇyakapadodbhūtā bhāgās tatropakalpitāḥ ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அவர்கள் அஹிம்சையுடையோர், தூய்மையுடையோர், மனவளமுடையோர், ஆசையற்றோர்; புகழத்தக்க மனநிலையுடன் செயலில் ஈடுபட்டனர். அந்த யாகத்தில் தேவர்களுக்குரிய பங்குகள் காடில் விளைந்த கனிகள், கிழங்குகள் முதலியவற்றாலேயே ஒழுங்குபடுத்தப்பட்டன.
