अध्याय ३३७ — ज्ञानमार्ग-वैविध्यप्रश्नः तथा व्यासस्य नारायणोद्भवकथा
Systems of Knowledge and Vyāsa’s Nārāyaṇa-Origin
सम्भूता: सर्वसम्भारास्तस्मिन् राजन् महाक्रतौ । न तत्र पशुघातो5भूत् स राजैवं स्थितो5भवत्
sambhūtāḥ sarva-sambhārās tasmin rājan mahā-kratau | na tatra paśu-ghāto 'bhūt sa rājā evaṃ sthito 'bhavat ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அரசே, அந்த மாபெரும் யாகத்தில் தேவையான எல்லாச் சாமான்களும் முறையாகச் சேர்க்கப்பட்டன; ஆயினும் அங்கே எந்தப் பசுவதமும் நிகழவில்லை. அஹிம்சைமிகு, தர்மசம்மதமான யாகத்தை நிலைநிறுத்தவே அரசன் உபரிசரன் அந்த யாகத்தில் அவ்விதமே நிலைத்திருந்தான்.
