तुलाधारस्य कौन्तेय शान्तिमेवान्वपद्यत | एवं बहुमतार्थ च तुलाधारेण भाषितम्‌ | यथौपम्योपदेशेन कि भूय: श्रोतुमिच्छसि

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | tulādhārasya kaunteya śāntim evānvapadyata | evaṃ bahumatārthaṃ ca tulādhāreṇa bhāṣitam | yathaupamyopadeśena kiṃ bhūyaḥ śrotum icchasi, kuntīnandana ||

Translation

பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—ஓ கௌந்தேயா! துலாதாரன் கற்றுத்தந்த பாதையைப் பின்பற்றியதால் (ஜாஜலி) பரம அமைதியை அடைந்தான். துலாதாரன் சொன்னது பலராலும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்ட பொருளுடைய போதனையாகும். தக்க உவமைகளுடன் இது முறையாக விளக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. இனி நீ மேலும் என்ன கேட்க விரும்புகிறாய்?
