Bṛhaspati’s Counsel on Contentment
Santoṣa), Restraint, and Adroha (Non-injury
विधिना श्रावणेनैव कुर्यात् कर्माण्यतन्द्रित: । य एवं वर्तते राजन् स राजा धर्मनिश्चितः
vidhinā śrāvaṇenaiva kuryāt karmāṇy atandritaḥ | ya evaṁ vartate rājan sa rājā dharmaniścitaḥ ||
விதிப்படி சாஸ்திர உபதேசங்களைச் செவிமடுத்து, சோம்பல் இன்றி தன் கடமைகளைச் செய்ய வேண்டும். அரசே! இவ்வாறு நடக்கும் அரசன் தர்மத்தில் உறுதியாக நிலைபெற்றவன்—தர்மநிச்சயமுடையவன்.
