Ajagara-vrata (The ‘Python’ Discipline): Prahrāda Questions a Wandering Sage
कार्तिक्यामद्य भोक्तार: सहस्र मे द्विजोत्तमा: । तत्रायमपि भोक्ता च देयमस्मै च मे धनम्
kārtikyām adya bhoktāraḥ sahasraṃ me dvijottamāḥ | tatrāyam api bhoktā ca deyam asmai ca me dhanam ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—‘இன்று கார்த்திகீ நோன்புநாளில், என்னிடம் ஆயிரம் சிறந்த பிராமணர்கள் உண்பார்கள். அங்கே இவனையும் உண்பவர்களில் சேர்க்கவும்; மேலும் என் செல்வத்திலிருந்து இவனுக்குத் தானமும் வழங்கப்பட வேண்டும்।’
