स चाद्य दिवस: पुण्यो हतिथिश्चायमागतः । संकल्पितं चैव धनं कि विचार्यमत: परम्
sa cādya divasaḥ puṇyo hatithiścāyam āgataḥ | saṅkalpitaṃ caiva dhanaṃ ki vicāryamataḥ param ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—‘இன்றைய நாள் புண்ணியமானது; தகுந்த திதியும் வந்துள்ளது. தானத்திற்கான செல்வமும் முன்பே சங்கல்பிக்கப்பட்டது; இதற்கு மேல் இன்னும் என்ன ஆலோசனை?’
