एतेषामुदयं स्थान क्षयं च पृथिवीपते । हन्त ते कथयिष्यामि क्रोधस्योत्पत्तिमादित:
eteṣām udayaṃ sthānaṃ kṣayaṃ ca pṛthivīpate | hanta te kathayiṣyāmi krodhasyotpattim āditaḥ ||
பூமியின் அதிபதியே! இக்குற்றங்களின் எழுச்சி, அவை தங்கும் இடம், மேலும் அவற்றின் அழிவு—இவற்றையெல்லாம் நான் உனக்குச் சொல்வேன். வா, முதலில் கோபம் எவ்வாறு பிறக்கிறது என்பதை விளக்குகிறேன்.
