बभूवामर्षितो राजा वध॑ चास्य व्यरोचयत् । सियारकी यह चपलता सुनकर शेर गुस्सेसे भर गया। उससे यह बात सही नहीं गयी; अतः मृगराजने उसका वध करनेका ही विचार कर लिया
babhūvāmṛṣito rājā vadhaṃ cāsya vyarocayat |
நரியின் இந்தச் சபலத்தை கேட்ட அரசன் (மிருகராஜன்) கோபத்தால் கொதித்தான்; அதைத் தாங்க இயலாமல், அவனை வதம் செய்யவே எண்ணினான்.
