यद् गदाभिहतो भीमो नाकम्पत पदात् पदम् | राजन्! गदाकी चोट खाकर भी जो भीमसेन एक पग भी इधर-उधर नहीं हुए, वह महान् आश्वर्यकी बात थी, जिसकी सभी सैनिकोंने भूरि-भूरि प्रशंसा की

சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—அரசே! கதையின் அடியால் தாக்கப்பட்டபோதும் பீமன் ஒரு அடியளவும் அசையவில்லை. அந்தக் கொடியப் பிரஹாரத்தின் நடுவிலும் அவன் அசையாத உறுதி பேராச்சரியமாக இருந்தது; எல்லாத் திசைகளிலும் இருந்த வீரர்கள் அதை மிகுந்து புகழ்ந்தனர்।
