वैशम्पायन उवाच तीर्थानां च फलं राजन्‌ गुणोत्पत्तिं च सर्वश: । मयोच्यमान वै पुण्यं शृणु राजेन्द्र कृत्सनश:

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca tīrthānāṃ ca phalaṃ rājan guṇotpattiṃ ca sarvaśaḥ | mayocyamānaṃ vai puṇyaṃ śṛṇu rājendra kṛtsnaśaḥ ||

Translation

வைசம்பாயனன் கூறினான்—அரசே! தீர்த்தங்களின் பலன், அவற்றின் குணங்கள், அவற்றின் தாக்கம் மற்றும் தோற்றம் ஆகியவற்றை முழுமையாக நான் உரைப்பேன். அரசர்களின் தலைவனே! அவற்றால் உண்டாகும் புண்ணியத்தின் முழுக் குறிப்பையும் கவனமாகக் கேள்.
