गदायुद्धप्रतिज्ञा — The Vow and Terms of the Mace Duel
न हि शूरा: पलायन्ते शत्रून् दृष्टया कथठ्चन । ब्रृहि वा त्वं यया वृत्त्या शूर त्यजसि संगरम्
na hi śūrāḥ palāyante śatrūn dṛṣṭvā kathaṃcana | brūhi vā tvaṃ yayā vṛttyā śūra tyajasi saṅgaram ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்—உண்மையான வீரர்கள் பகைவரைக் கண்டதும் எவ்விதத்திலும் ஓடிப்போவதில்லை. அப்படியிருக்க, ‘வீரன்’ என்று சொல்லிக்கொள்ளும் நீ எந்த நியாயத்தால், எந்த வழக்கத்தால் போரைக் கைவிடுகிறாய்?
