शल्यस्य पाण्डवसेनापीडनम् — Śalya’s Assault on the Pāṇḍava Host

ततः प्रववृते युद्ध भीरूणां भयवर्धनम् । तावकानां परेषां च मृत्युं कृत्वा निवर्तनम्
tataḥ pravavṛte yuddhaṁ bhīrūṇāṁ bhayavardhanam | tāvakānāṁ pareṣāṁ ca mṛtyuṁ kṛtvā nivartanam ||
அதன்பின், அஞ்சுபவர்களின் அச்சத்தைப் பெருக்கும் ஒரு கொடியப் போர் வெடித்தெழுந்தது. உமது படையினரும் எதிர்ப்படையினரும் அப்படிப் போரிட்டனர்; மரணமே பின்வாங்குதற்கான காரணமாகி, மனிதர் கொல்லப்பட்டபின் அல்லது உயிர்க்கொல்லி ஆபத்தால் கட்டாயப்பட்டபின் மட்டுமே பின்சென்றனர்।
