Report of the Night Raid and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament
संग्रामचन्द्रोदयवेगवेलं द्रोणार्णवं ज्यातलनेमिघोषम् । ये तेरुरुच्चावचशस्त्रनौभि- स्ते राजपुत्रा निहता: प्रमादात्
saṅgrāmacandrodayavegavelaṃ droṇārṇavaṃ jyātalanemighoṣam | ye terur uccāvacāśastranāubhis te rājaputrā nihatāḥ pramādāt ||
போர் எனும் சந்திரோதயம் துரோண-சமுத்திரத்தின் வேகமிகு அலைகளைப் பெருக்கிற்று; நாணின் டங்காரமும் ரதச்சக்கர ஓசையும் அதன் கர்ஜனை. உயர்ந்ததும் தாழ்ந்ததும் பலவகை ஆயுதங்களைப் படகுகளாக்கி அந்தத் துரோண-சமுத்திரத்தை கடந்த இளவரசர்களே, இறுதியில் அலட்சியத்தால் கொல்லப்பட்டனர்।
