न वैराण्यभिजानन्ति गुणान् पश्यन्ति नागुणान् । विरोधं नाधिगच्छन्ति ये त उत्तमपूरुषा:
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | na vairāṇy abhijānanti guṇān paśyanti nāguṇān | virodhaṁ nādhigacchanti ye te uttama-pūruṣāḥ ||
பகையை நினைவில் வைத்துக்கொள்ளாமல், குற்றங்களை அல்லாது நற்குணங்களையே காண்பவர்கள், யாருடனும் விரோதத்தில் இறங்காதவர்கள்—அவர்களே உயர்ந்த மனிதர்கள்.
