नाना प्रकारके मनोरम शब्दों, वाद्यों, गीतों, स्तोत्रों, नृत्यों और हास्य आदिसे आकाश मुखरित हो उठा। उस समय भूतलके मनुष्य और आकाशचारी प्राणी सभी उस आश्वर्यमय अन्तरिक्षकी ओर देख रहे थे ।।
tataḥ prahṛṣṭāḥ kuru-pāṇḍu-yodhā vāditra-śaṅkha-svana-siṁha-nādaiḥ | vinādayanto vasudhāṁ diśaś ca svanena sarvān dviṣato nijaghnūḥ ||
பின்னர் குரு–பாண்டவர் படைவீரர்கள் பேருவகையால் நிறைந்தனர். வாத்திய முழக்கம், சங்கநாதம், சிங்ககர்ஜனை ஆகியவற்றால் பூமியையும் திசைகளையும் அதிரச் செய்து, எதிரிகளை வீழ்த்தத் தொடங்கினர்.
