ततोडन््तरिक्षे साक्षेपा विवादा भरतर्षभ । मिथो भेदाश्न भूतानामासन् कर्णार्जुनान्तरे
tad anantaram antarikṣe sākṣepā vivādā bharatarṣabha | mitho bhedāś ca bhūtānām āsan karṇārjunāntare ||
அதன்பின், பாரதகுலச் சிறந்தவனே! ஆகாயத்தில் நிலைத்திருந்த எல்லா உயிர்களிடையிலும் கர்ணன்–அர்ஜுனன் வெற்றி–தோல்வி குறித்து பரஸ்பர குற்றஞ்சாட்டும் வாதங்களும் கருத்து வேறுபாடுகளும் எழுந்தன.
