स पक्षिसंघाचरितमाकाशं पूरयन् शरै: । धनंजयो महाबाहु: कुरूणामन्तको5भवत्,जहाँ पक्षियोंके झुंड उड़ा करते थे, उस आकाशको बाणोंसे भरते हुए महाबाहु धनंजय वहाँ कौरव-सैनिकोंके काल बन गये
sa pakṣi-saṅghācaritam ākāśaṁ pūrayan śaraiḥ | dhanañjayo mahābāhuḥ kurūṇām antako 'bhavat ||
பறவைக் கூட்டங்கள் பறந்தாடும் அந்த வானத்தை அம்புகளால் நிரப்பிய மகாபாகு தனஞ்சயன் (அர்ஜுனன்), அங்கே குரு வீரர்களுக்கு நேர்ந்த மரணமாகவே ஆனான்।
