तामापतन्तीं सम्प्रेक्ष्य वियत्स्थामशनीमिव । उत्पत्य राक्षसस्तूर्ण जग्राह च ननाद च,आकाशमें प्रकाशित होनेवाली अशनि (वज्र)-के समान उस महाशक्तिको गिरती हुई देख राक्षस घटोत्कचने उछलकर तुरंत ही उसे पकड़ लिया और सिंहके समान गर्जना की
tām āpatantīṃ samprekṣya viyat-sthām aśanīm iva | utpatya rākṣasas tūrṇaṃ jagrāha ca nanāda ca ||
சஞ்சயன் கூறினான்— ஆகாயத்தில் மின்னும் இடியென அந்த மகாசக்தி பாய்ந்து வருவதைக் கண்ட ராட்சசன் கடோத்கசன் திடீரென பாய்ந்து அதை பிடித்துக் கொண்டு சிங்கம்போல் முழங்கினான்॥
