भीष्मस्य भीमसेन-निरोधः
Bhīṣma checks Bhīmasena; matched engagements intensify
धर्मेण सर्वकार्याणि जीवितादीनि भारत । आरभमन्ते सदा पार्था: प्रार्थथाना महद् यश:,भारत! कुन्तीके पुत्र जीवन-निर्वाह आदिके सभी कार्य सदा धर्मपूर्वक ही आरम्भ करते हैं। कारण कि वे जगत्में अपना महान् यश फैलाना चाहते हैं
dharmeṇa sarvakāryāṇi jīvitādīni bhārata | ārabhamante sadā pārthāḥ prārthayānā mahad yaśaḥ ||
ஓ பாரதா! ப்ருதையின் புதல்வர்கள் (பார்த்தர்கள்) வாழ்வாதாரம் முதலான எல்லாக் காரியங்களையும் எப்போதும் தர்மத்தின்படியே தொடங்குகிறார்கள்; ஏனெனில் நீதிநெறியால் உலகில் மாபெரும் புகழ் பெற விரும்புகிறார்கள்.
