Educational Q&A

The verse uses the metaphor of a ‘wish-fulfilling tree’ to show how long-nurtured desires can dominate judgment; ethically, it hints that success pursued over many years may still be morally fraught if rooted in adharma, especially in the context of war.

Sañjaya reports a surge of confidence on the Kaurava side: a long-cherished objective now seems within reach, expressed through the image of a long-awaited, desire-granting tree.
