महाव्यूह: कलिज्रानामेकेन मृदितस्त्वया । “आपने अकेले अपनी ही भुजाओंके बल और पराक्रमसे कलिंगोंके उस महान् व्यूहको रौंदकर मिट्टीमें मिला दिया
sañjaya uvāca | mahāvyūhaḥ kaliṅgānām ekena mṛditas tvayā |
“கலிங்கர்களின் அந்த மாபெரும் வியூகத்தை நீ ஒருவனே மிதித்து நசுக்கினாய். உன் சொந்த புயபலமும் வீரமும் கொண்டு, யானைகள், குதிரைகள், ரதங்கள் நிரம்பிய அந்த அடர்ந்த அணிவகுப்பை உடைத்து சிதைத்து தூளாக்கினாய். அதில் இருந்த பலர் உலகின் சிறந்தோரில் எண்ணப்படத்தக்கவர்கள்; எண்ணற்ற திடமுடைய வீரர்கள் அந்த மாபெரும் வியூகத்தில் தஞ்சமடைந்திருந்தனர்.”
