द्रुपदस्तु ततो राजन् सैन्धवं वै जयद्रथम् । अभ्युद्ययौ हृष्टरूपो हृष्टरूपं परंतप:,राजन! दूसरी ओर शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले ट्रुपदने बड़े हर्षके साथ सिन्धुराज जयद्रथपर धावा किया। जयद्रथ भी बहुत प्रसन्न था
sañjaya uvāca | drupadas tu tato rājan saindhavaṃ vai jayadratham | abhyudyayau hṛṣṭarūpo hṛṣṭarūpaṃ paraṃtapaḥ |
அரசே! பின்னர் பகைவரைத் துன்புறுத்தும் த்ருபதன் பெரும் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் சிந்து அரசன் ஜயத்ரதனை நோக்கி பாய்ந்தான். ஜயத்ரதனும் அதே உற்சாகத்துடன் மகிழ்ந்து அவனை எதிர்கொண்டான்.
