प्रशमे हि कृतो यत्न: सुमहान् सुचिरं मया । न चैव शकित: कर्तु कर्ण सत्यं ब्रवीमि ते
Transliteration
praśame hi kṛto yatnaḥ sumahān suciraṃ mayā | na caiva śakitaḥ kartuṃ karṇa satyaṃ bravīmi te ||
Translation
கர்ணா! உனக்கு நான் உண்மையையே சொல்கிறேன். சமாதானத்திற்காக நான் நீண்ட காலம் மிகப் பெரிய முயற்சி செய்தேன்; ஆனால் அதை நிறைவேற்ற இயலவில்லை.
