धृतराष्ट्र रवाच सुमहान् संशयो मेउद्य प्रोक्तोडयं संजय त्वया । प्रजा: कथं सूतपुत्र सम्प्राप्ता: श्यामतामिह
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca—sumahān saṁśayo me ’dya prokto ’yaṁ sañjaya tvayā | prajāḥ kathaṁ sūtaputra samprāptāḥ śyāmatām iha ||
த்ருதராஷ்டிரன் கூறினான்—சூதபுத்ரனான சஞ்சயா! இன்று நீ எனக்கு மிகப் பெரிய சந்தேகத்தை எழுப்பினாய். அங்கே வெறும் வாழ்வதாலேயே மக்கள் இங்கே எவ்வாறு கருநிறத் தன்மையை அடைந்தனர்?
