Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
धर्ममेव गुरु ज्ञात्वा तृष्णा न गणिता त्वया । “जब मनुष्यमें दानविषयक रुचि जाग्रत् होती है
dharmam eva guruṁ jñātvā tṛṣṇā na gaṇitā tvayā |
தர்மத்தையே குருவென அறிந்து, நீ தாகத்தையும் ஒன்றுமாகக் கணிக்கவில்லை. மனிதனில் தானத்தின் விருப்பம் விழித்தெழும்போது அவனுடைய தர்மம் குறையாது. மனைவியின் பாசமும் மகனின் சினேகமும் நோக்காது, தர்மத்தையே உயர்ந்ததெனக் கருதி, அதற்காகப் பசி-தாகத்தையும் அற்பமென எண்ணினாய்.
