Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
न राजसूयैर्बहुभिरिष्टवा विपुलदक्षिणै:
na rājasūyaiḥ bahubhir iṣṭvā vipula-dakṣiṇaiḥ | tvayā ya idaṁ dāna-janitaṁ phalaṁ prāptaṁ tasya samatā pracura-dakṣiṇāvalaiḥ bahu-saṅkhyakaiḥ rājasūyaiḥ anekair aśvamedha-yajñaiś ca na bhavitum arhati | tvayā serabhara-sattūkā-dānenākṣayaṁ brahmalokaṁ jitaḥ ||
மாமனார் கூறினார்— “நீ தானத்தால் பெற்ற இந்தப் பயனுக்கு ஒப்பில்லை; மிகுந்த தட்சிணையுடன் பல ராஜசூய யாகங்கள் செய்தாலும் இல்லை, பல அச்வமேத யாகங்கள் செய்தாலும் இல்லை. நீ ஒரு அளவு சத்துவை (வறுத்த பார்லி மாவை) தானம் செய்ததாலேயே அழிவில்லா பிரம்மலோகத்தை வென்றாய்.”
