यस्मिंस्ते कुण्डले बद्धे तदा द्विजवरेण वै । उस समय उनकी दृष्टि बेलोंपर ही लगी हुई थी (वे कहाँ गिरते हैं

வைசம்பாயனர் கூறினார்—அப்போது அந்தச் சிறந்த பிராமணர் அந்த இரு குண்டலங்களையும் மான் தோலில் கட்டி வைத்திருந்தார். அவரது பார்வை முழுவதும் கொடிகளிலேயே நிலைத்திருந்தது; வெட்டப்பட்ட கொடிகள் எங்கே விழுகின்றன என்பதைக் கவனிக்கவில்லை. ஆகவே அவர் வெட்டிய கொடிகளில் பெரும்பாலானவை, அந்த இரு குண்டலங்கள் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த அதே மான் தோலின் மீதே விழுந்தன.
