Sāttvika-vṛtta-kathana (Brahmā on the Conduct of Sattva) — Chapter 38
प्रकीर्तिता: सत्त्वगुणा विशेषतो यथाददुक्तं गुणवृत्तमेव च । नरस्तु यो वेद गुणानिमान् सदा गुणान् स भुड्धक्ते न गुणैः स युज्यते
prakīrtitāḥ sattvaguṇā viśeṣato yathādaduktaṃ guṇavṛttam eva ca | naras tu yo veda guṇān imān sadā guṇān sa bhuṅkte na guṇaiḥ sa yujyate ||
வாயு கூறினார்—சத்த்வ குணங்கள் தனித்துவமாக விளக்கப்பட்டன; குணங்கள் இயங்கும் விதமும் உரியபடி கூறப்பட்டது. ஆனால் இக்குணங்களை உண்மையாக அறிந்தவன், அவற்றின் விளைவுகளை அனுபவித்தாலும் அவற்றால் கட்டுப்படான்; குணங்களை நுகர்ந்தாலும் குணங்களோடு இணைக்கப்படான்.
