ऑपन--माज बक। डे: पजञ्चविशो< ध्याय: चातुहोंम यज्ञका वर्णन ब्राह्मण उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । चातुरहोत्रविधानस्य विधानमिह यादृशम्,ब्राह्मणने कहा--प्रिये! इसी विषयमें चार होताओंसे युक्त यज्ञका जैसा विधान है, उसको बतानेवाले इस प्राचीन इतिहासका उदाहरण दिया करते हैं
Transliteration
brāhmaṇa uvāca | atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṃ purātanam | cāturhotravidhānasya vidhānam iha yādṛśam ||
Translation
பிராமணன் கூறினான்—அன்பே! இவ்விஷயத்திலேயே மக்கள் ஒரு பழங்கால இதிகாச முன்னுதாரணத்தையும் எடுத்துரைப்பர். இங்கு நான்கு ஹோத்ருக்களுடன் நடைபெறும் யாகத்தின் விதியை அது இருப்பதுபோலவே விளக்குகிறேன்।
