मासमेकं विजहुस्ते ससैन्यान्तःपुरा वने । अथ तत्रागमद् व्यासो यथोक्त ते मयानघ,वे सेनाओं तथा अन्तःपुरकी स्त्रियोंक साथ वहाँ एक मासतक वनमें विहार करते रहे। अनघ! इसी बीचमें जैसा कि मैंने तुम्हें बताया है, वहाँ व्यासजीका आगमन हुआ
māsam ekaṁ vijahus te sa-sainyāntaḥpurā vane | atha tatrāgamad vyāso yathoktaḥ te mayānagha ||
அவர்கள் படைகளும் அந்தப்புரப் பெண்களும் உடன் வனத்தில் ஒரு மாதம் தங்கினர். பாவமற்றவரே, நான் சொன்னதுபோலவே அப்போது அங்கே வியாசர் வந்தடைந்தார்.
