अश्रमवासिनां विषादः — Lament in Hastināpura after the Elders’ Forest Withdrawal

श्वशुराय तत: कुन्ती प्रणम्य शिरसा तदा,तब कुन्तीने मस्तक झुकाकर श्वशुरको प्रणाम किया और लज्जित हो प्राचीन गुप्त रहस्यको प्रकट करते हुए कहा

śvaśurāya tataḥ kuntī praṇamya śirasā tadā

அப்போது குந்தி தலை தாழ்த்தி தன் மாமனாருக்கு வணங்கினாள்; வெட்கமும் கட்டுப்பாடும் உடன், நீண்ட காலம் மறைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த ஒரு பழமையான இரகசியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தினாள்.
