Nārada’s Exempla of Tapas and Assurance to Dhṛtarāṣṭra (नारदोपदेशः—तपःसिद्ध्युदाहरणम्)
मातरं चाविदूरस्थां शिष्यवत् प्रणतां स्थिताम् । कुन्तीं ददर्श धर्मात्मा शिष्टाचारसमन्विताम्
mātaraṃ cāvidūrasthāṃ śiṣyavat praṇatāṃ sthitām | kuntīṃ dadarśa dharmātmā śiṣṭācārasamanvitām ||
அப்போது தர்மாத்மா யுதிஷ்டிரன், தன் தாய் குந்தியைச் சிறிது தூரத்தில் சீடனைப் போல வினயத்துடன் வணங்கி, ஒழுக்கநெறி நிறைந்தவளாய் நின்றிருப்பதை கண்டான். அருகே அரசன் த்ருதராஷ்டிரன் தினசரி கர்மங்களை முடித்து, காந்தாரியுடன் அமைதியாக அமர்ந்திருந்தான்.
