छत्रोपानहदानफलप्रशंसा — Praise of the Merit of Donating Umbrella and Footwear
जातकर्माणि सर्वाणि व्रतोपनयनानि च । गोदानानि विवाहाश्न तथा यज्ञसमृद्धयः
jātakarmāṇi sarvāṇi vratopanayanāni ca | godānāni vivāhāś ca tathā yajñasamṛddhayaḥ ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—ஜாதகர்மம் முதலிய எல்லாச் சடங்குகள், விரதங்கள், உபநயனம், கோதானம், திருமணம், மேலும் யாகங்களின் செழிப்பு—இவை அனைத்தும் அன்னத்தின் ஆதாரத்தாலேயே நிறைவேறுகின்றன; உயிர்களின் தாங்குதல் அன்னத்தினாலே தான்.
