Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
भीष्म उवाच साधोर्य: प्रतिगृह्लीयात् तथैवासाधुतो द्विज: । गुणवत्यल्पदोष: स्यान्निर्गुणे तु निमज्जति
bhīṣma uvāca sādhoryaḥ pratigṛhṇīyāt tathaivāsādhuto dvijaḥ | guṇavaty alpadoṣaḥ syān nirguṇe tu nimajjati ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—அரசே! ஒரு பிராமணன் நல்லொழுக்கமுள்ளவனிடமிருந்தும் தீயவனிடமிருந்தும் தானம் ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளலாம்; குணமுள்ளவனிடமிருந்து பெறுவது சிறிய குற்றமே. ஆனால் நற்குணமற்றவனிடமிருந்து பெறுபவன் பாவத்தில் மூழ்குகிறான்.
