Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa
Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results
तेजकी राशिभूत अग्निदेवका तुम सब लोग शीघ्र अन्वेषण करो। वे तुम्हारी मनोवांछित कामनाको पूर्ण करेंगे ।।
etad vākyam upaśrutya tato devā mahātmanaḥ | jagmuḥ saṃsiddha-saṅkalpāḥ paryeṣanto vibhāvasum ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்: நீங்கள் அனைவரும் ஒளிக்குவியலான அக்னிதேவனை விரைந்து தேடுங்கள்; அவர் உங்கள் மனவிருப்பத்தை நிறைவேற்றுவார். மகாத்மாவின் இந்த வார்த்தைகளை கேட்டதும் தேவர்கள்—உறுதி நிறைவேறும் எனத் துணிந்து—விபாவசு (அக்னி)யைத் தேட அங்கிருந்து புறப்பட்டனர்.
