Karma-Phala Rahasya and the Ethics of Dāna (कर्मफल-रहस्यं दानधर्मश्च)
अचोटद्यमानानि यथा पुष्पाणि च फलानि च । स्वकाल नातिवर्तन्ते तथा कर्म पुरा कृतम्
acoṭadyamānāni yathā puṣpāṇi ca phalāni ca | svakālaṃ nātivartante tathā karma purā kṛtam ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்— மலரும் கனியும் யாரும் தூண்டாவிட்டாலும் தம் நியமிக்கப்பட்ட காலத்தை மீறாமல் உரிய நேரத்தில் மலர்ந்து பழுக்கின்றன; அதுபோல முன்பு செய்த கர்மமும் தன் காலம் வந்தபோது தவறாமல் பலன் தரும்.
