अन्नदान-प्रशंसा (Praise of the Gift of Food) | Annadāna-Praśaṃsā
एते न बहु मन्यन्ते न प्रवर्तन्ति चापरे । पुत्रवत् परिपाल्यास्ते नमस्तेभ्यस्तथाभयम्
ete na bahu manyante na pravartante cāpare | putravat paripālyās te namas tebhyaḥ tathābhayam ||
பீஷ்மர் கூறினார்—இவர்கள் (பிராமணர்கள்) உலகியலான லாபத்தை பெரிதாகக் கருதார்; அவர்களில் சிலர் செல்வம் சேர்க்கும் முயற்சிகளிலும் ஈடுபடார். அத்தகைய பிராமணர்களை மகன்களைப் போலப் பாதுகாத்துப் பேண வேண்டும். அவர்களுக்கு மீண்டும் மீண்டும் வணக்கம்; அவர்களால் எங்களுக்கு அச்சம் இல்லை.
