On the Fruits of Austerity and Giving

वर्तितं भूगुशार्दूल यन्न दग्धो5स्मि तद्‌ बहु । एष एव वरो मुख्य: प्राप्तो मे भूगुनन्दन

vartitaṁ bhṛguśārdūla yan na dagdho ’smi tad bahu | eṣa eva varo mukhyaḥ prāpto me bhṛgunandana ||

குசிகன் கூறினான்— ஓ ப்ருகு-சார்தூலனே, இத்துன்பச் சோதனையைத் தாண்டியும் நான் எரியாமல் இருந்தது— அதுவே எனக்குப் பெரும் வரம். ஓ ப்ருகு-நந்தனனே, இதுவே எனக்குக் கிடைத்த முதன்மை அருள்.
