तथा ब्रूहि महाभाग कुरूणां वंशवर्धन । यदि शक्या कुरुश्रेष्ठ रक्षा तासां कदाचन ।।

Transliteration

tathā brūhi mahābhāga kurūṇāṁ vaṁśavardhana | yadi śakyā kuruśreṣṭha rakṣā tāsāṁ kadācana || kartuṁ vā kṛtapūrvā vā tan me vyākhyātum arhasi ||

Translation

ஆகையால், ஓ மகாபாகா, குருவம்சத்தை வளர்ப்பவனே! எந்நேரத்திலும் எவ்விதமாகவும் அந்தப் பெண்களைப் பாதுகாப்பது சாத்தியமாயின், ஓ குருசிறந்தவனே, அதன் வழிமுறையை எனக்கு விளக்குவாயாக. மேலும் முன்பு எங்காவது இத்தகைய பாதுகாப்பு நிகழ்ந்திருந்தால், அந்த முன்னுதாரணத்தையும் எனக்கு விரிவாகக் கூறுவாயாக.
